Saving Strays has today made an appearance in The Bolton News. The article mentions Saving Stray’s urgent need for fosterers. Rescue manager Jenny Herriot is quoted as saying:

“We are in desperate need of volunteer fosterers to house some of our cats and other animals. We have well over 50 animals in our care and we have nine on our waiting list, ready to come in. We always try and match the animal to the person, so they’re comfortable in their new home. Fosterers are given an adoption pack, which includes information about vaccinations and so on. Fosterers would need to give a lot of love to their animals and attend veterinary appointments from time to time. If the fosterers don’t drive, we have a transport team that helps the animals get to necessary appointments. We have a team of volunteers and we class ourselves as a family.”

The article also refers to the upcoming Christmas Fundraiser on Sunday 28th November 2021 at Tonge Cricket Club, on Crompton Way, from 12.30pm.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to browse the event’s 30 stalls, enter a raffle and enjoy some refreshments. There will be a bar available throughout the afternoon. We are also expecting a visit from the Grinch to kick off the festive season. It should be a great event, with food and drinks available.”

The fundraiser hopes to raise money for the animals in Saving Stray’s care and to cover the ever-growing veterinary costs.
